Pie

A long running Brit tradition dictates that as soon as the first glimpse of warm weather shows its face… you instantly break out the BBQ!

If you’re going to BBQ, you need good flavours.. this is where we called on the Jamaican jerk marinade.

This pie is packing some serious credentials, loads of layers and flavours for days.

It takes a fair bit of pie prep, but it’s more than worth it!

Layers?

  • pastry top (2d classy decoration by Ant)
  • Reggae Reggae sauce
  • rice and peas
  • sweet potato fries
  • leafy greens
  • jerk king prawns (in the “veggie” pie)
  • jerk ribs (de-boned)
  • aubergine
  • jerk chicken (de-boned)
  • shortcrust base

The Mexican

Pie

Although there’s a vast range of Mexican dishes with many different elaborate sounding names, ultimately it seems they are all just variations of the same amazing tasting food – always packed neatly in some kind of maize or flour based outer skin.

So then, why break the mould?

Here we have a couple of choice Mexican dishes all wrapped up in another flour based outer skin. The Mexican Pie, you were great.
